The Bankruptcy Act, 1997
Since 1971 there have been several new laws introduced in
Bangladesh. Among the new laws The Bankruptcy Act, 1997 is
one of the most important laws. The Bankruptcy Act, 1997
repealed all previous insolvency laws. The Bankruptcy Act,
1997 was drafted under official assignment by Mr. A.B.M.
Badrud Doulah and Mr. A.B.M. Shamsud Doulah, the lawyers of
Doulah & Doulah along with Mr. James C. Regan, an American
Bankruptcy Attorney of Los Angeles, USA at the instance of
the Bangladesh Bank and the World Bank.
The Copyright Act
The Lawyers of Doulah & Doulah have recommended Software
Registration and Copyright Law in the forthcoming Copyright
Act of Bangladesh through aid and assistance to the late Mr.
Gazi Shamsur Rahman, a renowned celebrity in law sector of
Bangladesh. Software copyright law is very important for the
protection of Software and to develop the country in the
software sector. In Bangladesh there is no law regarding the
right and protection of Software at present.

Society for Information and Research on Business
Intellectual Inventions [SIRBII] formerly known as
Bangladesh Intellectual Property Organization directly
advised through its aid and assistances in drafting in this
new piece of law. This society is a patronized concern of
Doulah & Doulah in the domain of Intellectual Property.
The Book of SIRBIII "Major International Laws for the
Protection of Intellectual Property Rights" was widely
consulted in this purpose. |
